  2. Receive a Certificate of Completion of Educational Requirements from a state-certified school, which states you have successfully completed the course established by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission;

Nebraska State Exam Details
The chronology for licensing in Nebraska is as follows:
  • Submit fingerprints to the Nebraska State Patrol
  • Commence with course work
  • Confirm with the Nebraska Real Estate Commission that a criminal background report has been received (avg. 17 days)
  • After confirming the Nebraska Real Estate Commission's receipt of the criminal background report, submit your application materials and fee to the Commission
  • Complete application submission including course certificates
  • Nebraska Real Estate Commission will release the applicants information to the testing company and inform the applicant
  • Applicant makes a testing appointment with the testing company

Click here for the Nebraska Candidate Handbook. The booklet provides complete instructions regarding the state exam, including how to make an appointment, what you are permitted to take (and not take) into the test center, and how you will be scored. At the test center you will be given a brief tutorial on using the test program.

The general or uniform portion of the state exam covers real estate law and practice that is common to most states. When you click on the Candidate Handbook link, open the General Content Outline for a breakdown of what is covered on this portion of the exam.

The second part of the License exam is specific to Nebraska real estate rules, regulations and law. Click on Candidate Handbook and open the State Law Content Outline to find out what is included on the state specific portion of the broker exam.

You will be given 31/2 hrs to complete the entire exam.

Be prepared to use the calculator at the test center when you take the state exam. If you feel you are weak in math make sure you read and do all the problems in MREP and online over and over until you feel comfortable with the formulas.
